50 Years. A Legacy of Service & Family
Robert Reedy III (BJ) took ownership of RDS Paving & Sealcoating in 2008 after working under the founder of the company, Rod Miller, BJ’s father-in-law.
After graduating from Penn State University in 2001, BJ began his professional career as a 5th grade teacher. During this time, he was called to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004. Upon returning from theater, BJ partnered with his father-in-law to learn the tricks of the trade in asphalt services. BJ was medically discharged and retired from the Army in 2008 as a disabled veteran. Since then, BJ has taken a business from the humble beginnings of a two-man operation and grown the company into a successful family owned and operated company.
BJ and his wife Megan have been married for 20 years. They have two children, Peyton & Gabe. All four work in some capacity with RDS Paving & Sealcoating. It is truly a family operated adventure. BJ says his passion to be a successful entrepreneur has deepened over the years, but it’s equally important for him to spend time and travel with his family. In addition when he’s not knee-deep in sealer or asphalt, he’s involved in several community organizations, such as the Rotary Club of Elizabethtown and the Elizabethtown Chamber of Commerce.
