It is the goal of RDS to develop a Preventative Maintenance Plan (PMP) for each customer. This allows for a proactive approach to pavement maintenance. By planning for routine asphalt evaluations and maintenance, small problem areas and potential liabilities can be dealt with before they become emergencies that require larger, more costly solutions. Following a PMP can therefore save facility managers and

property owners money and prolong the life of their parking lot or driveway. To use an analogy, imagine your asphalt is like your automobile.

To maximize the performance and life of your automobile, you schedule regular oil changes, inspections, and tune-ups. The same should go for your asphalt. By definition, Preventative Maintenance Planning, or PMP, is a systematic, long-term approach wherein the life of your asphalt is maximized by utilizing a method that ties together various maintenance options in one plan based on available funding and need. With PMP, RDS can offer expert pavement evaluations so that whatever maintenance procedures are needed can be used to extend the life of the pavement in the most cost-effective way possible.
